What’s so great about an Ambassdor wedding car?

To be perfectly honest, as cars go, they aren’t actually all that great.  Compared to a modern car that is.  Thirsty on the petrol, there’s no power steering, so biceps of steel are needed to maneuver.  Sometimes it feels like you have to stand on the brakes to stop, and don’t get me started on the handbrake.  Let’s just say, if hill starts were a sport, I could enter the Olympics! With no air con, on a hot summer’s day, shade from a tree is my only friend when parked.  That and a fan of course.  Yep, driving an old Ambassador is not for the faint hearted that’s for sure. But that’s also why I love it so. It’s quirky, whiny and cool.  It never

Lucy & Tim’s Summery Cotswold Country House Wedding

What a stunning, summery wedding sandwiched between two days of torrential rain in Gloucestershire. So lucky! We were a nostalgic choice for Bride Lucy and her Dad who’d taken many a journey around India in Ambassador cars. When her Dad found one as a wedding car for hire, he booked us on the spot! Lucy and Tim had a relaxed, boho wedding, starting with a ceremony in the woodland clearing at Chavenage House and a reception on their beautiful lawns. A Cotswold family home unchanged for 400 years, Chavenage House is where the BBC film the house scenes for Poldark. Alas, despite the scorching day, there was no sign of the great man himself! Much love and luck to the lovely Lucy and Tim for today and always. Much Kushi
